The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement at age seventeen has proved to be so successful that U.S. and Israeli imperialist and Zionist leaders have lobbied states in the U.S. and the federal government to enact anti-boycott laws. Ohio is one of those states that has limited constitutionally protected Free Speech.
The Free Speech Coalition in Ohio in solidarity with Israeli Apartheid Week will present a panel discussion to include the following topics:
1.) BDS Overview
2.) Effectiveness of BDS
3.) Challenges to BDS
4.) BDS Accomplishments
Panelists to include:
- Dr. Nahida Halaby Gordon, Professor Emerita at Case Western Reserve University
- Dr. Mazin Qumsiyeh, Professor at Bethlehem and Birzeit Universities, Occupied Palestine
- Terry J. Lodge, Attorney and Member, Ohio Free Speech Coalition
