Center for Solidarity and Exchange
The CIS was founded in 1993 after the signing of the Peace Accords in El Salvador. It was created in hopes to minimize economic and social injustices and create relationships between the Salvadoran people and others in search of progress and dignity. The CIS strive to promote the defense of human rights, solidarity between the people and government, and the development/marketing of Salvadoran crafts made by historically oppressed peoples. They ultimately hope to strengthen the idea of solidarity, create equality for all backgrounds, and promote mutual support of all people.
