Goals
- To link the struggles for dignity, equality and liberation among Afro-descendant and indigenous peoples in the US, southern Mexico, Central America and Colombia
- To promote solidarity between majority populations and Afro-descendant/ indigenous populations within and among nations
- To stop state-sponsored violence against Afro-descendant and indigenous peoples
- To create safe space and economic opportunities for Afro-descendant and indigenous peoples
Objectives
- Respond to calls for solidarity actions when Afro-descendant and indigenous peoples are under attack
- Call on governments to decrease rates of imprisonment of Afro-descendant and indigenous peoples
- Call on governments to improve quality of life measures for Afro-descendant and indigenous peoples: education, housing, healthcare, economic opportunities, civil rights
- Call on governments at local and national levels to break down structures of institutionalized racism
