Description by Case Western University, Social Justice Institute,
The Social Justice Institute presents meaningful events where students, scholars and community members gather together to tap into our individual and collective psyches and souls, hearts and minds, knowledge and networks of support, and dare to draw forth the words, analyses, strategies and actions that respect and uplift human dignity and life. We are honored to provide distinctive educational opportunities – and we invite you to join us and become partners in our work.
Join us for this special convening of social justice leaders! Our vibrant, three-day event will take place on the evenings of Thursday and Friday, October 27 - 28, and all day on Saturday, October 29.
Our Think Tank is centered around the theme of “A Balm for What Ails Us: Respect. Renew. Reimagine.” Our goal is to provide space for envisioning what liberation looks like for communities historically and currently marginalized by oppressive systems. We know that we cannot envision until we have healed, and we cannot heal until we have acknowledged our history. Our ambition is to foster conversations and reignite passion for social justice across the Cleveland community. We hope you will join us.
All events free and open to the public. All events held at CWRU’s Tinkham Veale University Center at 11038 Bellflower Rd, Cleveland, OH 44106.
